COUPLE’S AND INDIVIDUAL COUNSELOR
James Coccaro, MHC-Intern
James is a relational and compassionate therapist who specializes in working with couples, young adults, and adults navigating relationship challenges, communication issues, anxiety, and depression. His approach is grounded, authentic, and deeply human. Helping clients create healthier dynamics, strengthen emotional connection, and move through difficult moments with clarity and resilience.
As a couples therapist, James supports partners in improving communication, rebuilding trust, navigating conflict, and deepening intimacy. He creates a safe and collaborative space where each person feels genuinely heard and understood. Whether you’re addressing long-standing patterns or simply wanting to strengthen your relationship, James helps couples reconnect and grow with empathy and practical tools.
For individuals, James provides supportive guidance through anxiety, identity exploration, stress, and the pressure of “figuring life out.” He tailors therapy to each client’s unique goals, integrating insight, humor, and evidence-based strategies to make the process both meaningful and approachable.
Clients describe James as grounded, insightful, and easy to talk to, someone who makes even the hardest conversations feel manageable. His sessions often include moments of levity, because, as he likes to remind clients, not every breakthrough requires a box of tissues.
James’ goal is to help you gain clarity, build emotional resilience, and create relationships (both with yourself and others) that feel aligned, supportive, and fulfilling.
